JOB DESCRIPTION

Warehouse Technician

We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Technician to join our team. The role involves working from 7:30 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday. The ideal candidate will benefit from previous experience operating forklifts and using taller rolling ladders to retrieve products.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize material handling equipment for inbound and outbound shipments, including loading and unloading trucks and locating and picking materials into and out of warehouse racks.
  • Safely operate assigned material handling equipment, ensuring all equipment has been inspected and is in safe operating condition. Report any accidents or unsafe conditions to the supervisor.
  • Stock and arrange products to optimize warehouse inventory turnover.
  • Perform cycle counting to determine accurate material quantities.
  • Receive materials into inventory, move materials between designated locations, and locate/pick materials to and from warehouse locations as required.
  • Ensure accurate entries of part numbers, quantities, and other data fields affecting electronic records of receipts, inventories, and locations. Resolve discrepancies related to material quantities and part numbers.
  • Ensure stability of pallets and observe that pallet heights, material racking, and equipment are undamaged. Prevent materials from being left in aisles.
  • Practice safe material handling techniques and maintain housekeeping standards.
  • Demonstrate flexibility to work overtime or weekends as required, as this role is designated as Safety Sensitive.

Essential Skills

  • Proficiency in operating forklifts.
  • Experience in shipping and receiving processes.
  • Ability to perform picking and packaging tasks.
  • Skill in using RF scanners.
  • Experience in material handling and inventory management.
  • Capability to conduct cycle counts.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with taller rolling ladders for product retrieval is advantageous.
  • Previous forklift experience is preferred.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Daleville, IN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.25 - $19.50/hr.
