Warehouse Technician Supply Store - 1st Shift

We are seeking a diligent and safety-conscious warehouse technician for our supply store. The ideal candidate will work from 7:30 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday, and will be responsible for a variety of tasks including forklift operation, shipping and receiving, and retrieving products using taller rolling ladders.

Responsibilities

• Use material handling equipment for inbound and outbound shipments, load and unload trucks, and locate and pick materials into and out of warehouse racks and between locations.
• Safely operate assigned material handling equipment, ensuring all equipment is inspected and in safe operating condition. Report all accidents and unsafe conditions to a supervisor.
• Stock and arrange products to ensure efficient warehouse inventory turnover.
• Determine accurate material quantities by cycle counting.
• Receive materials into inventory and move materials by quantity between designated locations. Ensure accurate entries for part numbers, quantities, and other data fields that impact electronic records of receipts and inventories.
• Locate parts while ensuring pallet stability and observing proper pallet heights. Ensure material racking and equipment are not damaged and materials are not left in aisles.
• Practice safe material handling techniques.
• Perform housekeeping tasks as assigned.
• Demonstrate flexibility to work overtime and weekends as required, as this role is designated as safety sensitive.

This is a contract position based out of Fort Wayne, IN.

Pay and benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
