They will report to the Group Logistics Manager and coordinate with the Safety Manager to train new hires and keep existing employees current on required training.Essential FunctionsContribute to meeting site productivity and quality goals by administering on the job training and powere industrial truck (PIT) training to all new and existing employees including cross trainng as needed. Update and maintain various existing training documents and help create new training documents for various departments and job functions. Complete Human Resource paperwork and other administrative tasks as assigned.Coordinate department activities and special projects to ensure quality and meet timetables. Coordinate with Group Manager Logistics for appropriate staffing levelsDirect staff in the development analysis and performance of job task. Supervise staff in accordance with company policies and procedures. Assist staff to resolve complex or out of policy operation problems. Conduct interviews hire new staff and provide employee orientation. Coach and provide career development advice to staff. Responsible for staff scheduling to include work assignments/rotations employee training employee vacations employee breaks overtime assignments back-up for absent employees.Perform standard work audits with new and existing employees to ensure adherence to process.Responsible to coordinate safety activities for the site by working with Safety Manager to ensure safety training is current including OSHA and forklift training.Additional ResponsibilitiesEvaluate department processes. Recommend and coordinate needed changes based on process analysisEstablish employee goals and conduct employee performance reviewsCommunicate with other Supervisors and ManagersPerforms other duties as assigned.Skills and AbilitiesStrong verbal and written communication skills RequiredAbility to create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization (peers work groups customers supervisors).
