Hiring Warehouse Worker
Job Description
We are seeking dedicated warehouse workers to assist machines, remove lids from the line, and pack them into boxes. This role involves significant bending but minimal heavy lifting, as the items are plastic lids for various containers. Candidates must be willing to work 12-hour shifts and will be on their feet throughout; comfortable footwear is essential. Workstations are equipped with supportive mats to ease standing. Employees will receive a pay increase upon permanent hire and benefit from shift differentials.
Responsibilities
- Adhere to all Safety, GMP, and Food Safety requirements, maintaining cleanliness in work areas.
- Communicate safety, quality, and equipment issues to support personnel or via the help board.
- Monitor stacking and conveyance systems to prevent scrap from jam-ups.
- Meet scrap management requirements and segregate scrap properly, recycling as much as possible.
- Interact with QA Technicians, providing information and samples of defective products.
- Empowered to 'Hold' any product suspected to be defective.
- Erect cartons and stack boxes onto skids as needed.
- Assist Team Lead with labeling of corrugate.
- Read and understand shop orders.
- Demonstrate good time management skills to complete tasks efficiently.
- If certified, train others in the molding department to maintain OJT trainer status.
- Willingness to cross-train on multiple machines.
- Perform additional tasks as directed.
Essential Skills
- Basic packing and general labor skills.
- Experience in warehouse production and stacking.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Some warehouse experience preferred but not required.
- Strong attendance and reliability.

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lees Summit, MO.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.25 - $19.25/hr.
