Pay at Cardinal Health is determined by multiple factors including but not limited to a candidates geographical location relevant education experience and skills and an evaluation of internal pay equity.Work schedule is: 5:00am start time working until the work is complete Monday-Friday (must be flexible to work up to a 12 hour shift) Saturday shifts may also be required due to business needs.What Warehouse Operations contributes to Cardinal Health:Warehouse Operations is responsible for performing/controlling a combination of manual or automated tasks necessary for the receipt storage and shipment of product. This may include functions of receiving picking packing shipping staging transporting storage delivery etc. Also responsible for the efficient flow of products from the point of product receipt from vendors to the shipment of products (via prescribed service parameters) to a variety of internal and external customers.Responsibilities: Drives material handling equipment as required by job duty. Example equipment in the facility includes: order picker (cherry picker) forklift reach truck turret truck pallet jack and walkie riderCross-trains in multiple areas of the warehouse including inbound and outboundReceives large boxes on warehouse dock scan product with RF scanner and input product information into computerBreaks down cases of product and operate heavy equipment to replenish warehousePalletizes large items to skid and wrap for shipmentPicks items for shipment as necessaryPacks small items in boxesQualifications:High School Diploma /GED preferred1 - 2 years experience preferredPrevious material handling equipment experience (MHE) preferredRadio frequency (RF) scanner and/or voice to pick experience highly preferredAbility to consistently lift 50 Ibs and be able to bend reach stoop lift and stand for entire shift of 8 hours or moreMust be able to work overtime with little to no advance noticeWillingness to learn to operate material handling equipment and rotate into various areas of the warehouseWork at heights up to 25 feet consistentlyWhat is expected of you and others at this level:Applies acquired knowledge and skills to complete standard tasksReadily learns and applies new information and methods to work in assigned areaMaintains appropriate licenses training and certificationsWorks on routine assignments that require some problem resolutionWorks within clearly defined standard operating procedures and/or scientific methodsAdheres to all quality guidelinesWorks under moderate degree of supervisionWork typically involves regular review of output by work lead or supervisorRefers complex unusual problems to supervisorCandidates who are back-to-work people with disabilities without a college degree and Veterans are encouraged to apply.
