Job Description
As the first point of contact for people when they reach out to WBUR the receptionist is responsible for answering telephone calls greeting visitors and responding emails with a friendly demeanor and a focus on being as helpful as possible. Along with the front-facing responsibilities this position will also be responsible for light support tasks such as updating certain correspondence trackers assisting with break-room upkeep and ensuring that the facilities are kept in a clean and orderly manner.This position will report to the Operations Manager. This position is part-time and in-person on a 12 PM to 5 PM Monday-Friday schedule.Responsibilities-Manage reception desk operations on a day-to-day basis. Respond to and forward calls maintain station email inboxes provide guest access to building and parking garage and some administrative tasks.-Maintain fresh coffee clean and organize breakroom. Operate and maintain kitchen supplies and equipment including dishwasher coffee machine range and other equipment.-Receive and distribute packages and mail as they are delivered to or picked up from WBURs studio.About WBUR WBUR is Bostons NPR and a public media leader producing exceptional journalism on-air online on-demand and in real life.
