Job Description
Overview WEB DEVELOPMENT SPECIALIST (VDEPT): Bowhead is seeking a Web Development Specialist to support our V-Department in Dahlgren, VA. The Web Development Specialist will build, deploy and maintain Web Site pages. Responsibilities Develop and improve site navigation. Provide technical site maintenance, consultation on issues related to animation, search engine techniques, link integrity, navigation, browsers, graphics, and other technical web developments. Develop code using Microsoft .NET Framework, HTML, Visual Basic or other web-based programming languages. o Prepare technical documentation. Knowledge of web activities, techniques, tools, HTML code, JAVA, GIF, animation, browser and GUI design related applications. May require graphics design skills. Provide technical support, and administration of the software infrastructure for the implementation and maintenance of customer's web sites. Knowledge of web activities, internet techniques, tools, HTML code, JAVA, GIF, animation, browsers and basic GUI design related applications. Qualifications Three to five (3-5) years of expereince as Web Developer Bachelor's degree in a related discipline such as computer science, information systems, or other computer/engineer related discipline, preferred. Relevant experience to include design, development, testing, and maintenance of applications/web sites hosted within the Microsoft .NET Framework. Web site/application development experience working with a database backend. Strong interpersonal skills to work in a team environment, experience with presenting/demoing to small internal audiences, and experience with writing/maintaining/reviewing documentation associated with application/web site development. Professional and effective communication skills (both verbal and written) between customers, team members, and line management. Ability to work independently and as a team to complete work. Physical Demands: Must be able to lift up to 10-15 pounds Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIRED: Must be able to obtain/maintain a security clearance at the Secret level. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.
