Youll get to manually load and unload materials stack and wrap pallets sort materials and perform general labor tasks to support warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.The Job:As a Distribution Center Team Leader youll be part of our growing team working as an on-site employee. Youll get to manually load and unload materials stack and wrap pallets sort materials and perform general labor tasks to support warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESUnderstand and enforce all safety guidelinesDetect identify and resolve any production or quality problemsTrain and orientate new employeesProvide direction and guidance to teammatesPlan and manage resources which includes work allocation training and problem resolution.Manage the daily activities for the team.Ensure housekeeping and other 5S guidelines are followedTake direction and designate work assignments to associates according to business demands.Must be able to problem solve and accurately count all types of itemsPerform any other related duties as or assigned.Use material handling equipment once trained to safely move product to wrapping station staging area or onto outgoing truck. Must also use material handling equipment to unload and stage pallets for receiving.Process wrap and label pallet at ship prep stationCount product to ensure accurate delivery and receipt of orders.Understands and follows the Jackson sites environmental policy and the environmental impacts associated with their work activities.KEY ATTRIBUTES AND COMPETENCIESMust have strong communication and organizational skillsMust be able to relate to and interact with all levels of the organizationMust be able to work from a general assignment with little or no directions from othersMust be goal oriented and self-motivated with high energy levels and the ability to multi-taskMust be reliable and flexible with hours worked including weekends and overtimeEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE High school or GED Equivalent**It is to be understood that the duties and responsibilities listed in this job description constitute only the essential duties and responsibilities of this position.
