Additional responsibilities include insertion and management of Sengstaken/Blakemore tubes, performing endoscopic ultrasound (EUS), and completing upper GI endoscopy with capabilities such as biopsy, foreign body removal, cautery or laser for bleeders, injection or banding of varices, diagnostic and therapeutic ERCP, and PEG placement.
