Weights & Research Inspector - Afternoon Shift at XPO

What you'll need to succeed as a Weights & Research Inspector at XPOMinimum qualifications:4 years of work or military experience Able to explain and document classification corrections for all involved partiesWorking knowledge of Microsoft SuiteAble to effectively navigate the internet using specific keywords for researchSolid communication and interpersonal skills Available to work a variety of shifts, including days, nights, and weekends Preferred qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent Knowledge of NMFC provisions, including rules and packagingWeights and inspections experienceLess-than-Truckload (LTL) industry knowledge and experience About the Weights & Research Inspector jobPay, benefits and more:Expected pay range: $25.99 to $34.25 per hour. Actual compensation may vary due to factors such as experience and skill set. Full health insurance benefits available on day oneLife and disability insuranceEarn up to 7 days PTO over your first year Earn up to 6 days of paid sick and safe leave per year9 paid company holidays401(k) option with company matchEducation assistance What you'll do on a typical day:Review inspection reports to identify potential issuesConduct inspections of shipments on the dock utilizing handheld devicesReview BOL and billing descriptions to verify accuracyGather information related to the shipment, including dimensions, pictures, and commodity characteristicsResearch commodity information using the National Motor Freight Classification (NMFC) for applicable description and classIssue document corrections based on the applicable provisions from the NMFCUpload documents/pictures into the image system for reviewMaintain the reports necessary to measure corrections activity and revenue recovery Weights & Research Inspectors are required to:Lift objects of various shapes, sizes and weights frequently up to 50 lbs. and occasionally greater than 75 lbs.Stand, sit or walk for extended periodsReach (including above your head), bend, climb, push, pull, twist, squat and kneel About XPOXPO is a top ten global provider of transportation services, with a highly integrated network of people, technology and physical assets.
