Together we are building a better world so we can all enjoy living in it.2nd shift available - Full Time - East Peoria LLPay: Up to $24.97 per hour depending on experienceplus $1.00 per hour off-shift premium.Welders may elect to receive a$4.00 per hour retention bonus immediately.As an experienced Fabrication Specialist you will set up operate and adjust manual and/or automatic machines to perform welding operations in all positions.Job Duties/Responsibilities may include but are not limited to: Perform manual finish welding operations on plain and alloy steels in all positionsOperate robotic welding equipmentFollow documented procedures and standard work to perform safe and defect free operationsPerform carbon arc cutting and gougingSanding may be required to dress weldsUse of jib and overhead crane to manually position work pieces Required Qualifications: Must be able to pass multiple welder qualification tests during the Caterpillar provided trainingMinimum of one (1) year of experience in production environment using GMAW with 0.045 or larger wire on ½ or greater thickness materialAbility to perform simple computer operationsBe available to work any shiftAbility to work overtime to support production demandsDesired Qualifications: Three (3) years of GMAW welding experienceTechnical school or equal educational background in mechanical or similar disciplineTop Candidates will also possess: Good communication skills and strong commitment to safety and teamworkAbility to work well individually or in a team environmentAdditional Information: Full Time position offering benefits including health insurance paid time off paid holidays 401K etc.Company Provided PPE such as Safety Glasses (includes prescription safety glasses) and Weld Hood as well as Safety Boot Reimbursement.Shift: 2nd shift 2:00 pm to 10:00 pm Pay: Up to $24.97 per hour depending on experienceplus $1.00 per hour off-shift premium.Welders may elect to receive a$4.00 per hour retention bonus immediately.Incremental increaseswill be appliedevery 26 weeksuntil themaximum rate is reached.Training will be completed on 1st shift for the first 4-5 weeks90 Day probationary period includes weld school trainingThis position is located in East Peoria Bldg LLNo relocation package is availableMust be able to pass welder qualification requirements during the Caterpillar provided training by a Certified Welding Educator (CWE) Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) or approved personnelSafety is a core value at Caterpillar.
