JOB DESCRIPTION
Welder
We are seeking experienced TIG Welders to support a fast-paced production line environment. This role involves TIG welding black carbon steel and stainless-steel pipe, including flanges and elbows, with a strong focus on cycle time, takt time, and repeatable quality. Ideal candidates are comfortable working on a moving line and maintaining weld quality while meeting production targets.
Responsibilities
- Perform TIG welding on black carbon steel pipe up to 8 inches, 4-inch pipe assemblies, and carbon steel to stainless steel welds.
- Weld elbows and flanges connecting to compressors.
- Complete welds through all three welding phases: root pass, fill pass, and cover cap.
- Properly prep material, including grinding, beveling, and cleaning for weld-ready condition.
- Maintain consistent weld quality in a high-speed, production-focused environment while adhering to required cycle time and takt time standards.
- Follow safety, quality, and production procedures at all times.
Essential Skills
- Proven TIG welding experience with black carbon steel, stainless steel, and dissimilar metals (carbon to stainless).
- Strong understanding of pipe prep, root, fill, and cap techniques.
- Ability to work in a fast and efficient manner without sacrificing quality.
- Understanding of takt time and cycle time in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience working on or alongside a production line.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Recent and extensive experience with steel welding.
- Experience with TIG welding and pipe fitting.

Work Environment
Work is performed on a moving production line with an emphasis on speed, efficiency, and repeatability. This is not a custom or job-shop welding role. Candidates must be comfortable with repetitive work and a line-driven workflow, maintaining quality under time constraints. The schedule is Monday to Thursday, 5:30 am to 4 pm, with mandatory overtime on Fridays to meet production deadlines. The role requires physical activities such as standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, or crouching, and lifting up to 35 pounds. Use of Personal Protection Equipment is required, and good manual dexterity and multi-limb coordination are essential.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mesa, AZ.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $31.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
