Welder

We are seeking a skilled welder to fabricate and weld steel, creating large chemical tanks independently. You will begin by receiving a print or drawing along with a bill of materials, and then take raw materials to cut, bend, and fuse according to the specifications. You will perform all layout work to ensure dimensions are accurate prior to welding.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate and weld steel to create large chemical tanks independently.
• Receive a print or drawing along with a bill of materials.
• Cut raw material with a saw according to the print.
• Process material through bending and fusing machines.
• Perform all layout work to ensure dimensions are correct prior to welding.

Essential Skills

• 2+ years of welding independently.
• 2+ years experience interpreting blueprints, work prints, and work orders.
• 2+ years of fabrication experience.
• 2+ years experience with TIG and MIG welding independently.
• 2+ years experience in coping, cutting, notching, or shaping the end of metal components.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with stick welding is a plus.
• Experience with stainless steel is a plus.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Springfield, OH.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
