JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Welder / Maintenance Technician to join our team! In this vital role, you will be responsible for fabricating, welding diesel equipment, mechanics, and maintaining equipment and structures across various projects. Your expertise will ensure the safety, integrity, and functionality of our facilities and machinery. Responsibilities Perform welding to fabricate and repair metal components according to blueprints and schematics Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to guide fabrication and assembly tasks Use hand tools, power tools, calipers, micrometers, and other measurement devices to ensure precision in fabrication and repairs Conduct routine maintenance on machinery, including mechanical repairs, lubrication, troubleshooting mechanical issues, and replacing worn parts Assist with rigging, crane operation, forklift handling, and assembly tasks to support construction or manufacturing projects Follow safety protocols adhering to ASME codes & standards while performing welding or maintenance tasks Requirements Proven construction site experience with a strong understanding of safety procedures Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, calipers, micrometers, plasma cutters, press brake machines and other fabrication equipment Mechanical knowledge of pipe threading, soldering, machining processes Basic math skills for measurements and calculations necessary for fabrication work Experience operating forklifts or other heavy machinery is a plus Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues efficiently Knowledge of ASME codes & standards related to welding and fabrication practices Able to work in shop and potentially travel during emergencies for repair work.
