Welder Fabricator Position Open at NKC of America Inc.

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Welder to join our team. This role is ideal for individuals with a strong background in metal fabrication who take pride in precision, quality, and teamwork.

Key Responsibilities

  • Position, align, fit, and weld parts to assemble complete units or subunits in accordance with blueprints and layout specifications
  • Interpret engineering drawings to determine material requirements and workflow sequencing
  • Verify workpiece accuracy using measuring tools such as squares, rulers, and tape measures
  • Perform tack welding to secure components prior to final welding
  • Layout, mark, and prepare metal stock, accounting for material thickness and weld shrinkage
  • Align and fit components using jacks, wedges, pry bars, and other tools
  • Secure parts in place using clamps, braces, and related equipment for welding or riveting
  • Operate fabrication equipment including brakes, rolls, shears, flame cutters, grinders, and drill presses
  • Safely move materials using hoists or cranes as needed

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Minimum of 2 years of hands-on fabrication or welding experience
  • Ability to read and follow instructions, blueprints, and technical documents
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Commitment to quality workmanship and workplace safety

Schedule

Day Shift: Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM - 3:30 PM
