Welder/Fabricator at Aerotek
JOB DESCRIPTION
Fabricator
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Metal Fabricator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience working with steel, interpreting blueprints, and using fabrication tools and machinery to produce high-quality components for commercial and industrial projects.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
- Measure, cut, bend, and assemble metal components using tools such as shears, saws, brakes, and welding equipment.
- Operate fabrication machinery including press brakes and punch presses.
- Perform MIG, TIG, and/or stick welding as required.
- Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals.
- Operate a forklift as needed.
Essential Skills
- 2+ years of experience in metal fabrication or a related field.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints and using measuring tools.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods.
- Familiarity with OSHA safety standards.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with structural steel and custom metalwork.
- Forklift experience is a plus.

Work Environment
The position is based in a metal shop with a close-knit team of around six members. Work starts at 6 am during the summer and typically involves 8-10 hour shifts depending on workload, currently focusing on 10-hour days. The role requires adherence to a clean and safe workspace.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Omaha, NE.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $27.00/hr.
