We have full parts, sales and service departments along with full body shop. We do custom fabrication such as flatbed and landscape bodies, wheelbase modifications and many other items. Company Description American Bobtail, Inc. is a new and used medium duty truck dealership. Isuzu Trucks of Rockwall is what we operate the new truck sales, parts and service under. ABI Truck and Van Shelving is another division that upfits trucks and vans with shelving and accessories. We have full parts, sales and service departments along with full body shop. We do custom fabrication such as flatbed and landscape bodies, wheelbase modifications and many other items.
Welder Fabricator / Body Installer
Full Time
We are looking for a Welder Fabricator / Body Installer to join our team! If you have experience in welding and metal fabrication and enjoy working on trucks, we want to hear from you.
Responsibilities:
- Fabricate and assemble metal components to build truck bodies and flatbeds
- Install and repair various equipment, including liftgates and service bodies (new and used)
- Perform welding tasks using appropriate techniques and equipment
- Measure and cut materials accurately to meet design specifications
- Ensure quality control and adherence to safety standards
Qualifications:
- Experience in welding, fabrication, or manufacturing
- Proficiency with welding tools and techniques (MIG, TIG, Stick, etc.)
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings (preferred)
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Physically capable of lifting and handling heavy materials
