Job Title: Structural Welder Fabricator (1st Shift / Full Benefits + Profit Sharing)

Location: Cincinnati, OH (Shop-Based)
Pay: $20.00 - $35.00 per hour (Starting rate determined by practical in-shop weld test)
Schedule: 1st Shift 40-55 hours per week (Consistent weekly overtime available)
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Position Overview:
We are hiring a full-time, detail-oriented Structural Welder Fabricator to join our stable, indoor production shop in the Greater Cincinnati area. This role involves layout, fitting, and welding heavy structural carbon steel components (beams, columns, trusses) directly from industrial blueprints.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Read, interpret, and lay out raw steel materials directly from complex structural blueprints and AWS welding symbols.
  • Position, align, square, and fit heavy carbon steel plates and beams using torches, grinders, and fixtures.
  • Execute high-quality, defect-free welds utilizing FCAW (Dual-Shield) and GMAW (MIG) processes.
  • Maintain a clean, safe workspace and verify finished products meet tight structural tolerances.
  • Miscellaneous Metal Fabrication: Layout, fit, and fabricate custom industrial stairs, stringers, handrails, and guards with clean, cosmetically smooth welds
  • Material Handling & Automation: Safely operate rigging and overhead cranes to move heavy structural assemblies; adapt to and interface with automated shop machinery.


Job Requirements:

  • 2+ years of structural steel layout and fabrication experience in a shop setting.
  • Deep proficiency with Dual-Shield Flux-Cored (FCAW) and MIG welding on carbon steel.
  • Proven, independent ability to read and execute complex blueprint drawings.
  • Active or past AWS D1.1 structural certification is highly preferred.
  • Must pass an in-person layout, fitting, and welding test at our Cincinnati shop facility.
