welder/fabricator at Staffworks Group

Staffworks Group is seeking a skilled Welder/Fabricator with strong construction knowledge to join our team. This role involves fabricating, assembling, and installing structural components while maintaining strict safety and quality standards. The ideal candidate is experienced in multiple welding techniques, can interpret blueprints accurately, and is comfortable working in both shop and field environments.

Location: New London CT

Pay Rate: $35-45hr Based on experience

MUST have an OSHA 10 Certification

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform structural welding and fabrication in accordance with project specifications and industry standards.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and construction plans to execute precise work.
• Operate and maintain welding equipment, including MIG, TIG, and Stick welders.
• Cut, shape, and assemble metal components using various steel working tools and machinery.
• Safely operate a 1-ton hoist truck for transport and placement of materials and equipment.

Required Qualifications:

• Valid Structural Welding Certification (required).
• Proven experience in welding and fabrication within a construction or similar environment.
• Proficiency in MIG, TIG, and Stick welding processes.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction plans.
• Knowledge of different metals and their compatibility in welding applications.
• Experience using steel fabrication tools (cutting torches, grinders, saws, presses, etc.).
• Valid driver's license and ability to operate a 1-ton hoist truck.
