Were committed to making a positive impact on the world providing you with diverse learning and working opportunities and fostering a culture where everyones empowered to be their best.Position Summary The individual will be responsible for assembling and welding different industrial components and pieces according to various plans as well as repairing and modifying per the needs.Roles and Responsibilities Weld components in flat vertical or overheadClamp heat-bend bolt component parts to obtain required configurations and positions for weldingOperate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal segments using processes such as gas tungsten arc gas metal arc flux-cored arc plasma arc shielded metal arc and resistance weldingExamine work pieces for defects and measure work pieces to ensure conformance with specificationsLay out position align and secure parts and assemblies prior to assembly using straightedges combination squares calipers and rulersChip off excess weld slag or spatter using hand scrapers or portable grindersAnalyze engineering drawings specifications sketches work orders and material safety data sheets to plan layout assembly and welding operationsWeld separately or in combination using aluminum stainless steel galvanized steel and other alloysMark or tag material with proper job number piece marks and other identifying marks as requiredPrepare all material surfaces to be welded ensuring that there is no slag rust moisture grease or other foreign matterPosition and secure work pieces using hoists cranes wire and banding machines or hand toolsRepair products by dismantling straightening reshaping and reassembling parts using straightening presses and hand toolsSet up and use ladders and scaffolding as necessary to complete workOther responsibilities as assignedQualifications Education: High School Diploma and/or DEPExperience: Two (2) years of experience or more as a WelderComputer Skills: None requiredCertificates & Licenses: None requiredRead engineering drawingsPerform work with precision and thoroughnessWork at a steady pace and produce quality workFind a solution or proactively deal with work-related issuesVersatile autonomous and responsibleBe a good team colleagueAssess your own strengths and weaknessesLook for training and development opportunitiesContinuously develop knowledge and skillsShare your expertise with othersProficiency in English communication both oral and written.Following receipt of a conditional offer of employment candidates will be required to complete additional job-related screening processes as permitted or required by applicable law.We are an equal opportunity employer and all applicants will be considered for employment without attention to their membership in any protected class.
