Position Overview

We are actively hiring a skilled MIG Welder (dual shield) with hands-on experience in steel fabrication. This is not an entry-level role - we're looking for someone who can step in, read prints, and produce clean, structural-quality welds with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform MIG welding (dual shield) on steel components (primary duty)
• Read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings accurately
• Fit, align, and tack weld assemblies prior to final welding
• Operate shop equipment (saws, grinders, fabrication tools, overhead cranes)
• Adjust machine settings (voltage, wire feed, heat) for proper weld quality
• Inspect welds for strength, consistency, and defects
• Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean work area

Requirements (DO NOT APPLY if you don't meet these)

• Minimum 3+ years of MIG welding (dual shield) experience
• Proven experience in steel fabrication (not just light welding)
• Ability to read blueprints without assistance
• Comfortable working in a production/shop environment
• Able to lift 50 lbs and work on your feet throughout the shift
• Reliable transportation and consistent attendance
• Must pass background check and drug screening

Preferred (Strong Advantage)

• Welding certification (AWS or similar)
• Experience with TIG or Stick welding
• Experience operating overhead cranes or fabrication machinery

Work Environment

• Indoor fabrication shop (non-climate controlled at times)
• Exposure to noise, heat, and industrial materials
• Fast-paced, team-oriented production setting
