Written and physical test required.
Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret American and European blueprints, GD&T (geometric dimensioning and tolerancing) callouts, weld symbols, and technical drawings to ensure products meet or exceed customer specifications.
- Perform welding using GMAW-P (Pulse MIG), GMAW-S (Spray Transfer MIG), and GTAW (TIG) processes to fabricate and assemble weldments, tanks, and metal components in accordance with weld procedure specifications.
- Weld a variety of materials including carbon steel, galvanized steel, stainless steel, and aluminum while maintaining quality and productivity standards.
- Complete manual layout and fit-up of weldments independently with minimal supervision.
- Utilize fixtures, gauges, jigs, and fabrication tools to manufacture welded assemblies to required tolerances and customer specifications.
- Support the development and continuous improvement of work instructions and manufacturing documentation.
- Perform first article, in-process, and final inspections using precision measuring tools including calipers, height gauges, protractors, and tape measures.
- Conduct pressure testing of fuel tanks and hydrostatic testing of glycol tanks to validate product integrity and quality.
- Travel between manufacturing facilities as needed and adapt to varying production schedules and product requirements.
- Evaluate welding methods and workflows, identify improvement opportunities, and recommend process enhancements to increase efficiency, quality, and consistency.
Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 1-3 years of hands-on experience with GMAW-P, GMAW-S, and GTAW welding processes, preferably within a job shop or custom fabrication environment.
- Ability to read and interpret American and European blueprints, GD&T callouts, and weld symbols.
- Experience performing pressure testing and/or hydrostatic testing of tanks preferred.
- Equivalent combinations of education, training, and experience will be considered.
