Welder Part-Time at Mainstream Engineering

Position SummaryThe Part-Time Welder will weld military grade HVAC/R components and housings made from carbon steel stainless steel or aluminum. This position will be responsible for the set-up and operation of welding equipment. Specific responsibilities include:Set-up and operate spot welder and TIG welderFollow engineering drawings to ensure accurately fabricated partsSuggest processes and operations to produce the best possible resultsExamine work pieces for defects and measure work pieces to ensure conformance with specificationsUse hand and power tools to grind shape smooth and blend seamsMaintain clean and safe work environmentPosition RequirementsUS Citizenship required due to strict ITAR regulationsHigh school diploma or Equivalency required3 years of experience in TIG weldingCandidates will be required to demonstrate their welding abilityMust be able to read engineering drawings with knowledge of welding symbolsAdvanced math skills preferredMust be adaptable to changing direction and job priorities quicklyAbility to work with limited supervisionStrong work ethic and willingness to learnMainstream Engineering Corporation is an equal opportunity employer.
