Welder at RCS Fabrication Inc

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

Job Summary

RCS Fabrication is growing and looking for a skilled Welder to join our team. In this role, you'll lay out, fit, and fabricate metal components to build structural assemblies using your knowledge of welding techniques, metallurgy, and blueprint interpretation. You'll work in-house alongside an experienced team to complete jobs on time and to spec.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Weld parts in flat, vertical, and overhead positions
• Interpret drawings and plans and carry out work accordingly
• Use precision measuring tools to inspect grooves, angles, and weld quality
• Operate powered saws, hand shears, and chipping tools as needed
• Use portable grinders, hand files, and scrapers for finishing
• Conduct tests to verify weld quality and dimensional tolerances
• Produce templates and other work aids as needed
• Maintain welding equipment and perform minor repairs

Requirements and Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints
• Basic math skills
• Basic understanding of electricity
• Working knowledge of metallurgy
• 1 year of welding experience (required)

Preferred Qualifications

• 1-2 years of welding experience
• Experience welding light gauge steel and aluminum (14ga-18ga)
• MIG welding certification through the American Welding Society (AWS)
