Steel Fabrication Shop, conveniently located right off the freeway in Ridgefield, Washington looking for an experienced and responsible Journeyman Fitter/Welder. For the right candidate, this could turn into a Shop Lead position!

Requirements:

• 5 Years Advanced Structural Fitting in a Steel Fabrication Environment
• 5 Years Experience Welding; Flux Core Dual Shield, CJP.
• Certifications: FCAW, WABO, AWS, or able to Pass a Certification Test.
• Read/Interpret Drawings, Blueprints, and Plans to understand Fabrication Requirements.
• Identify Structural Steel Shapes, Including Beams, Columns, Plates, Channels & HSS.
• Lay Out and Fit per Weld Details per AISC Standards
• Accurately Measure and Cut Structural Steel Components to Required Length using Tools and Equipment.

Must:

• Be at Least 18 Years of Age.
• Pass Weld Test to Red Dog Fab Standards.
• Have Knowledge of Proper Equipment, Materials and Supplies used in Steel Construction Work.
• Understand Safe Use of Equipment, Tools, and Healthy Work Environment Practices.
• Adhere to Red Dog Steel Fabrication Policies and Procedures.
• Must have a valid, clean Washington State issued driver's license.
• Be able to Stand for 8+ Hours a Day.
• Be able to Lift 65 lbs.
• Pass a Pre-Employment Drug Screen: On AllSafety Sensitive Positions for which impairment while working causes a substantial risk of death. Red Dog Fabrication maintains a drug and alcohol-free workplace policies and obligations required under federal law.

Job Type: Full-Time

Salary: $28+ Per Hour Based Upon Certification, Skills, and Experience

Schedule:

Monday Through Friday

• 6:00 am - 3:30 pm
• 8-9 Hour Shifts.
• May Include Limited weekends / occasional Saturdays.
• Required Overtime as Needed. Adjusted to Needs of Business
