G.J. Oliver, Inc., a worldwide leader in the design and manufacturing of Steel Fabrications and API class Machinery Systems, is currently looking for an experienced Welder/Fitter.

Skills/Qualifications

The desired employee must have minimum 5 years experience. Must be able to accurately measure using the following equipment: tape measures, scales with increments of 64ths, height gauges, dial and/or digital calibers. Must be able to read, interpret, and follow large detailed machining and fabrication blue prints. Understanding of machine tolerances, and properly allowing extra material where needed. The individual must have experience, or basic knowledge of mechanical press brakes, large plate rolls, pipe benders, CNC burning tables with Oxy-Fuel and Plasma capabilities, free hand burning with Oxy-Fuel and Plasma torches, welding (SMAW and FCAW), various metal working saws such as horizontal and vertical band saws, and cold saws. Experience with CAD and/or ProNest software, fork lift operation, and overhead crane operation a plus. Desired candidate does not need to be a master of all skills listed above, however, we are seeking a fabricator that has strong mechanical aptitude, and is willing to learn as well as retain what he/she is taught.
