Job DescriptionJob DescriptionSalary: Pay Range starts at $30.65Position PostingPosition: WIC Project Coordinator Position Status: Full-timeSalary Range: Pay grade starts at $30.65/hour. Salary will be reflective of education, credentials, and experience.Scope: This position is accountable for supervising the grant-funded supplemental Nutrition Program forWomen, Infants, and Children (WIC) and staff engaged in implementing and coordinating the WICinitiatives of the agency; Ensures full compliance with application and administration of the grant;conducts program activities as necessary or required.Essential Duties (including, but not limited to):Supervises WIC staff; Assigns work activities; Provides direction and reviews completed workPlans and oversees the design of WIC program consistent with grant objectives; as well as the overall agency mission and visionPlans and coordinates the WIC services delivered by the agencyDevelops policies and procedures relating to the WIC program servicesEvaluates the effectiveness of the agency WIC programsPerforms grant management in relation to the WIC grant; ensures timely submission of grant application and all required reports; manages grant budget; ensures compliance with all grant requirements; reviews and approves requisitions for expendituresInforms Board of Health of activities and current issuesApproves the ordering of supplies for the WIC programPromote breastfeeding, be part of WIC breastfeeding teamDemonstrate a commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusionHelp in promotional efforts for agency programs and activities, both internal and external. This includes attending health fairs and special events, preparing displays for events, developing and distributing educational materials and working with media/PIOPractice dependable attendance habitsRepresents the department and the agency favorably to the publicEnsures compliance with standards, laws, and regulations as promulgated by regulatory agencies such as OSHA, Federal and State governmentEnsures compliance with policies and procedures set forth for the Zanesville - Muskingum County Health DepartmentDemonstrate the Mission and Values outlined in the ZMCHD Strategic Plan: Respect Diversity and practice inclusion. Engage with our communities and work as a team to achieve desired resultsMaintains and improves knowledge and skills through attendance at meetings, trainings, seminars, and in service trainingsOther duties as assigned or requestedMinimum Qualifications: An appropriate combination of education, training, course work, and experience may qualify an applicant to demonstrate required knowledge, skills, and abilities. An example of an acceptable qualification is: An appropriate combination of education, training, coursework and experience may qualify an applicant to demonstrate required knowledge, skills, and abilitiesBachelors degree in nutrition or Dietetics preferredDietitian License in the State of OhioExcellent communication and organization skills requiredGrant management experience preferredSupervisory experience or management coursework preferredValid drivers license with access to reliable transportationNon-tobacco userZanesville-Muskingum Co.
