Worlds largest independent upstream oil and gas businessSPIRIT values - Safety People Integrity Responsibility Innovation TeamworkOperations in 13 countriesConocoPhillips is hiring for a Willow Emergency Response Specialist/Chief contract role based in Alpine AK.JOB DESCRIPTIONPrimary Functions/Responsibilities:Lead by example in our Incident Free Culture.Work 2x2 week rotation while on shift on call for all emergencies.Responsible for coordinating and the safe execution of the emergency response training program that includes but is not limited to the following areas.Fire Department OperationsFacility EmergenciesStructural Fire Suppression and related activitiesAircraft EmergenciesTechnical rescue practicesState of Alaska Firefighter I program.Company level fire officer trainingMedical emergency responseHaz-Mat OperationsOversee and coordinate the operational readiness of all fire apparatus tools and support equipment.Teach and coordinate Respiratory Inspection and Fire Extinguisher training classes.Responsible for oversight of the respiratory service and maintenance program.Participate in all emergency and non-emergency operations for the Fire Department and Rescue TeamAssumes the On-Scene Commander role for spill or hazardous materials events in the absence of the Emergency Services Chief.Critical staff for NS wide Spill ResponseOther duties as assigned.Job Qualifications:Basic Requirements:Legally authorized to work in the United StatesCurrent valid drivers licenseAssociates degree in fire/EMS related field or equivalentState of Alaska certified EMT II or higher level of licensing designation (or ability to obtain reciprocity)Certified Firefighter I or higher (IFSAC/Pro Board)3 years of experience leading and motivating emergency response volunteers.Minimum 5 years of experience with EMS practices safety requirements and best practices the incident command system NIMS Emergency equipment and training methodsPreferred Qualifications:7 years of progressively responsible fire and EMS service experienceBachelors degree in fire emergency management EMS or related fieldCertified Fire Service Instructor I or higher (IFSAC/Pro Board)Experience working with a career/volunteer combination department.EMS patient care and transport experience with Paramedic preferred.Training program developed and evaluation assessment planning strategies and achieving performance results.Certified Incident Safety OfficerPossess a passion for training with education certification and instructional credentials that demonstrate this.Demonstrated skills to maintain and present all manner of data records and reports.Takes accountability for actions and follows through on commitments.Actively communicates and takes time to safely perform work to protect our people and environment.Mentors coaches and develops others to bring out their full potential.Build positive relationships across organizations that foster a strong work environment.Key Interfaces:North Slope Emergency Response Team MembersNorth Slope Operations Leadership TeamAlaska HSE Leadership TeamConocoPhillips contract opportunities are for project-based or other short-term engagements that require specialized skills.
