Job DescriptionJob DescriptionTitle: Working Leaderman (Structural)Location: Fourchon, LAJob Overview: A Working Leaderman (Structural) is responsible for directing his/her workforce in the successful implementation of craft-specific activities as it relates to associated shipbuilding and/or repair functions.Key Responsibilities:Utilizes knowledge of the working characteristics of metallic and non-metallic materials, including the specifications of the equipment to be used in the welding process.Performs tank testing and associated duties as required.Experience:At least Five (5) years of assembly/prefab structural welding/fitting experience. Prior supervision experience is preferred.Skills and Abilities:Basic knowledge of welding/fitting specific processes and techniques in addition to being familiar with standard marine practices and general specifications for construction.Experience in structural fabrication and the ability to read/understand drawings is required.Previous supervisory experience is a plus.Must be able to communicate effectively with employees, work well with others, and have the ability to plan/schedule craft-specific work tasks.Must have a strong focus on quality, production, safety, and environmental aspects of work being performed.Bollinger is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to providing employment opportunities to minorities, females, veterans and disabled individuals, and without regard to sexual orientation and gender identity.Powered by ExactHire:186333
