Yard Associate at Heritage Landscape Supply Group

Heritage Landscape Supply Group is seeking a full time Yard Associate position will focus on duties such as stocking the yard area warehouse areas shipping and receiving of products loading/unloading trucks and counter sales duties as well. The workweek is Monday through Saturday with an opportunity for overtime during the busy season.ESSENTIAL DUTIES Operating heavy-duty front-end loaders to load customers and move materials.Stocking receiving pulling and staging all yard/warehouse products.Loading unloading and securing product for customers delivery vehicles and inbound trucks.Keeping yard area neat and organized.Operating Forklifts and front-end loaders in outdoor environments.Focusing on safe work practices such as wearing PPE proper lifting techniques etc. whileperforming daily duties and using company equipment.Other related duties as assigned such as receiving etc.SALES DUTIES MAY INCLUDEEntering orders at the point of sale using the company computer systemInteracting with customers over the phone via email and in-personGreet customers with a friendly attitudeBasic computer and phone skillsCommunicate to customers the correct product for their applicationCommunicate to customers how the material is priced and soldCreate Sales OrdersCreate Quotes to estimate the cost of projects quantities of material needed from customer measurementsEfficient scheduling of truck deliveriesClear communication between manager employees and clientsBeing honest courteous and respectful to customers & employees at all timesMaintain and assist to keep a clean work environmentLearn basic knowledge of products available to customersInform management of products/special order material customers needAssist with Inventory Cycle CountsOrder picking/staging/ReplenishmentShipping/ReceivingLoading/unloading delivery vehiclesOther related duties as assignedREQUIREMENTSBasic computer knowledge and Internet useForklift Operator experienceAbility to lift 75 pounds; 50 pounds on a repetitive basisBilingual (English and Spanish) is helpful but not requiredAble to pass a pre-employment drug test/background screening.We offer a dynamic work environment where youll have the chance to develop grow and flourish professionally as well as a comprehensive benefits package including medical dental vision 401k stock ownership paid time off and paid weekly.
