Ensures that all materials needed for the yard and facility come in as ordered and expected.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Gate trailers and containers in and out of the yard by using the company software system.Walk the yard twice daily to ensure its accuracyAssist the warehouse team in the routing and shipping of materials with outbound equipment.Work with the dispatch team to ensure that trailer transfers from building to building occur without fail.Equipment inventory and verificationContainer and chassis inspections and cleaningVerify container poolAssist with maintenance and repair of equipment (trailers containers)Ensuring yard layout is maintained per company expectationsSkills and Qualifications:High School Diploma or equivalentAbility to multitask and problem-solveMust be knowledgeable in the use of Microsoft applicationsExcellent verbal communication skillsMust be a team player with the ability to multitaskKnowledge of DOT (Department of Transportation) rules and regulationsCompany Benefits:MedicalDentalVision401k Company MatchEmployee Assistance ProgramPaid Time OffFlexible Work Schedules (when possible)And more!Pay Range:$20-21 an hourThe above-stated pay range is the anticipated starting salary range for the position.
