Yardman at Tague Lumber of Kennett Square

Tague Lumber is seeking a Yardman for our Kennett Square yard. This is a hands-on position ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, assisting customers, and being part of a team that takes pride in safety, organization, and quality service. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Meet and greet customers and assist them with the loading of materials
• Accurately pull and stage materials to be picked up or delivered
• Keep the yard clean and organized
• Properly use equipment, including forklifts
• Follow all safety procedures

• Previous experience in a customer service environment
• Forklift experience required
• Familiarity with building materials is helpful
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds, frequently
• Must have a valid driver's license
• Pass a background check, physical, and drug screening
• Basic reading, writing and arithmetic skills required

Working Conditions:
This position is based in a warehouse and outdoor yard environment and involves frequent lifting (including above shoulder height), walking, bending, standing, and carrying materials. Heavy lifting is required, and employees may be exposed to extreme hot and cold weather conditions.
