Job DescriptionJob DescriptionLOCATION: Tulalip ClubJOB TITLE: Youth Development ProfessionalREPORTS TO: Unit Director, South Everett Boys & Girls Club RATE: $17.13 to $18.00 hourlySHIFT: Weekdays 2:30 PM to 7 PMJOB SUMMARYCome join a wonderful team of people on a mission to make a difference in our community and enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens.Under the supervision of the Unit Director, the Youth Development Professional is responsible for helping to implement a variety of programs and activities that lead to three priority outcomes for youth: Academic Success, Healthy Lifestyles, and Good Character & Citizenship. Youth Development Professionals work with youth and create an environment that is safe and fun while helping members build confidence and skills.Multiple shifts are available and Youth Development Professionals typically work approximately 20-25 hours per week during the school year and 40 hours per week during the summer. School year shifts are typically worked in the afternoons between the hours of 1pm and 6pm. Summer shifts are typically worked between the hours of 9am and 6pm.RESPONSIBILITIES● Plans and implements activities for youth that give them a sense of belonging, usefulness, influence, and competence, utilizing existing curriculum from Boys & Girls Clubs of America in addition to local initiatives.● Manages program supplies and equipment.● Maintains organization and cleanliness of program area.● Other duties as assigned.QUALIFICATIONS● 16 years of age or older.● Ability to remain poised, positive, and energetic in a busy work environment.● Ability to incorporate organizational values of Fun, Respect, Integrity, Community, and Acceptance into all practices.● Prior experience working with youth preferred.External applicants must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check to be considered for employment.Part-time Boys & Girls Clubs of Snohomish County enjoy the following benefits:● Sick Leave● Employee Discount Plan● Eligible dependent children receive complimentary participation in Club activities including child care and sports!Boys & Girls Clubs of Snohomish County is an Equal Opportunity Employer and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any kind: Employment decisions at Boys & Girls Clubs of Snohomish County are based on business needs, job requirements andindividual qualifications.
