We seek a mission-driven dynamic and student-centered individual with a passion for teaching scholarship and service within the field of Physical Therapy education.The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to the Christian mission of the University and will integrate a biblical worldview into academic instruction and professional practice. All Concordia faculty are members of Christian congregations.Job Duties & ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with the Program Chair and core faculty in curriculum development and reviewTeach in areas aligned with expertise. Preferred teaching responsibilities include acute care geriatrics integumentary pediatrics and/ or movement science content with opportunities to teach in other areasProvide course coordination and assessment including day-to-day course managementAdvise and mentor students throughout the academic programParticipate in the CAPTE accreditation processContribute to the Universitys scholarship expectations through:Peer-reviewed research and publicationGrant writing and submissionCreative and scholarly achievementsProvide meaningful service to the university department and the physical therapy profession or similar professionAssist with student recruitment orientation and retention initiativesServe on university and departmental committeesOther duties as assignedKnowledge Skills & AbilitiesAbility to teach across the curriculum in both traditional and bridge DPT programsDemonstrated integration of faith and learning in educationStrong verbal and written communication skillsCommitment to excellence in higher education teachingSupportive of the mission and values of Concordia University Wisconsin/Ann Arbor and the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod (LCMS)Education & ExperienceEarned terminal academic degree (PhD or equivalent) and content specialist required or Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree or Master of Physical Therapy (MPT) degree from a CAPTE-accredited program and PhDMinimum of 3 years of clinical experience in physical therapyCurrent licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Physical Therapist in the State of WisconsinDemonstrated ability to meet CAPTE and university scholarly output expectationsABPTS certification preferredHigher education teaching experienceService to the profession at the local state or national level is desiredPhysical Demands/Equipment (Click to View)Compensation & BenefitsThis is a full-time exempt (salary) faculty position.
