
Sales Support Specialist
About the Role
Sales Support Specialists are a vital part of our Retirement Division, working closely with Internal and External Wholesalers to grow our life insurance and annuity business. This role is a strong starting point for a long-term career—many team members have successfully transitioned into Wholesaler positions through our promote-from-within culture. What You Will Do
- Partner with Internal and External Wholesalers to support territory sales through meetings and calls
- Respond to product inquiries, create illustrations, track pending applications, and fulfill marketing and sales material requests
- Collaborate on outbound calling campaigns to promote new products and uncover new sales opportunities
- Monitor and manage the progress of submitted business, keeping internal teams and external advisors informed
- Serve as a key resource on the Sales Desk, assisting financial advisors with product info, rate updates, illustration requests, and service-related questions
Who You Are
- High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred
- Able to pass both a criminal background check and credit check
- Quick to learn new systems and processes
- Interested in sales and motivated to grow into a more advanced sales role
- Skilled at problem-solving, multitasking, and thinking on your feet
- Strong communicator with a sharp eye for detail
- Comfortable handling both inbound and outbound phone calls
- Willing and able to obtain required licensing within 2–4 months if not already licensed
- Team-oriented and customer-focused, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
- Demonstrates a strong sense of urgency, service mindset, and personal integrity
- Builds solid relationships with teammates, internal partners, and customers alike
- Must complete and pass the Life and Disability license exam within the first week of employment
Licensing Requirements
- Life and Disability license (to be completed within the first week of employment)
- Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) licenses (to be obtained upon hire or within four months):

Compensation
Pay Range: $22.00 – $36.23 plus eligibility for annual bonus program
