As an Oracle CPQ Developer, you will be responsible for the technical design, implementation, and support of CPQ processes and solutions. Your expertise will be crucial in optimizing our client’s pricing and quoting systems, ensuring seamless integration with existing infrastructure, and driving efficiency across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Technical Design and Implementation:
- Architect and develop robust CPQ solutions tailored to the client’s specific needs
- Design and configure custom code and objects using the CPQ developer toolkit
- Implement complex product configurations and pricing rules
- Develop customizations within the CPQ (BigMachine) ecosystem to enhance functionality
- Integration and API Development:
- Create and maintain web services API integrations with other systems, including CRM and ERP platforms
- Ensure smooth data flow between CPQ and other business-critical applications
- Product Information Management:
- Handle and safeguard proprietary and confidential product pricing information
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive product catalog within the CPQ system
- Best Practices and Guidance:
- Provide expert guidance on CPQ solutions, including product configuration, price book administration, and proposal development
- Offer strategic technical insights to optimize CPQ usage and performance
- Serve as a technical advisor for out-of-the-box CPQ features and functions
- Implementation and Support:
- Drive the CPQ implementation roadmap from design to deployment
- Support user adoption initiatives and provide ongoing system improvements
- Manage system administration tasks to ensure optimal performance
- Stakeholder Management:
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with key business stakeholders
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and meet business priorities
- Translate complex technical concepts into understandable terms for non-technical stakeholders
Technical Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in CPQ development, with 7+ years preferred
- At least 2 years of hands-on experience with Oracle CPQ (BigMachines), including proficiency in BML and BMQL
- In-depth knowledge of product configuration, complex configurator setups, commerce processes, workflow approvals, document engine, and pricing functionality within Oracle CPQ Cloud
- Strong proficiency in HTML/XHTML, XML, Java, JavaScript, AJAX, and SOAP-based web services
- Experience in bulk data upload/migration strategies from legacy systems to Oracle CPQ Cloud using Oracle CPQ Cloud APIs
- Expertise in Agile implementation methodologies
Additional Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience integrating Salesforce with Oracle CPQ Cloud, DocuSign, and other third-party cloud applications is highly desirable
- Proficiency in JavaScript and CSS for Oracle CPQ UI customization
- Proven track record in migrating code between instances
- Familiarity with middleware technologies and web services
- Understanding of UI/UX principles and mobile development best practices
